Parks and Recreation

Coronado State Monument is a great place for a hike or a picnic overlooking the Rio Grande. Home to the partially reconstructed ruins of the ancient Pueblo of Kuaua, the Monument is open Wednesday through Monday. Golf enthusiasts can play a round at the semi-private Santa Ana Golf Club, ranked #12 in best golf courses under $50 by Golf.com. Surrounded by picturesque mountains and situated along the Rio Grande River, the Santa Ana Golf Club offers some of the most beautiful and challenging golfing in the state.

Living in Bernalillo means having all of the quiet, relaxation, and community spirit of a small town within minutes of a thriving metropolitan area. In addition to its breathtaking scenery and old-town charm, Bernalillo real estate hosts a number of annual festivals and events, including the New Mexico Wine Festival, the largest wine festival in the state. The historic, three-day street festival of Fiestas de San Lorenzo is also celebrated annually. Schools, Health, Transportation

The Bernalillo Public Schools district operates three public elementary schools, two public middle schools, and one public high school in the town of Bernalillo. The University of New Mexico in Albuquerque is an easy eight-mile commute from Bernalillo. Medical care and emergency services can be obtained in nearby Albuquerque. Three hospitals - Lovelace Westside hospital, Lovelace Women’s Hospital, and Presbyterian Hospital - are within a ten to 20 minute drive. Both an Amtrak train station and the Albuquerque airport are less than 20 miles away.
